Tailored Programme

Everyone comes into exercise from a different place, every-body has different needs, imbalances, & nuances. Two people taking part in the same activity/sport with similar credentials on paper can be very different when coming into training. Some people start training, get injured & have to change their goals to accommodate recovery. Some people come into exercise understanding what they need & fly through a programme progressing quickly. Over my time as a Personal Trainer I have noted a few factors that contribute to successful outcomes for people who love to train & for people who dislike exercise but come to enjoy it on their terms. These anecdotal factors are:

  • How confident a person feels in their body

  • How active their natural lifestyle is

  • If they enjoyed exercise in school

  • If they have had previous injury

  • How they manage their wellbeing habits day to day

  • If they feel they have an ability to move well

  • How much pain they are in physically & psychologically

My approach to helping people reach the goals they have based on physical ability, aesthetic, or achievement takes into consideration the whole package. This allows me to give honest advise, recommendations & the right exercise programme to support that journey. Many times exercise programmes are not based on aesthetics, but wellness but the expectation is to achieve a certain physical appearance. We focus on health primarily and health does not always translate in to a 6-pack and super athletic prowess. It is important that you manage your perceived expectations and learn to work with your body to feel good not against your body to look good.

I don’t write programmes solely based on a clients/your goal & the shortest route to success. I write programmes based on a clients/your goal & the safest way to success that takes into account longevity, health, & wellbeing. This means what I do is not for everyone but it works well for the following people:

  • Amateur & professional athletes looking for performance gains

  • People returning to sports after time out

  • People recovering from injury

  • People with niggles, aches, & pains that want to avoid injury or surgery

  • People newly coming into exercise looking to gain confidence

This is a process by which you tell me your goal, what you want to be able to do, do well with minimum risk of an accident. I then assess your movement, balance, mobility & go through some general wellbeing questions. I take images to do a posture analysis & then I write a programme with any additional recommendations for getting started.

The process charge for this is £200 initially. Workout programmes are updated every 4-6 weeks at a cost of £100 each, for people training themselves and at £50.00 per session for Personal Training. The initial assessment is an in-person event ideally, It can be done on zoom but is not ideal. Updates can be done via zoom with relative ease. It is ideal to keep that regular contact with me throughout your programme duration to discuss progress & keep you supported and actively aware of your body and it’s needs whilst active in your programme, this can be done via Whatsapp, my preference is note taking on your workout sheets which I will see as you update them as they are linked to my systems through the cloud.
